Golden Porridge

Golden Porridge is the perfect start to the day on a cold wintery day.  You can combine it with honey for an added immune support boost as well.

Recipe with Golden Paste:

2-3 tbsp jumbo rolled oats.

I cup of milk, almond milk, coconut milk, rice milk or soy (whichever you prefer, I use almond or coconut milk) – use the cup you plan to drink from

1 tsp golden paste

i tsp manuka honey (optional)

Place ingredients in a pan and gently simmer for about 2-3 minutes until hot enough to drink without burning.

Recipe without Golden Paste:

If you haven’t made any golden paste do not despair! You can still enjoy Golden Milk using ingredients from scratch:

I cup of milk, almond milk, coconut milk, rice milk or soy (whichever you prefer, I use almond or coconut milk) – use the cup you plan to drink from

1 tsp turmeric

I tsp coconut oil

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tsp manuka honey (optional)

Put all ingredients into a pan and simmer over a gentle heat for 2-3 minutes until hot enough to drink without burning.  Serve by using a tea strainer to catch the powdery remains of the turmeric.
