Quick and Easy Yoghurt Bowls

Whenever I fancy something a bit more substantial than a smoothie after dinner, my go to is yoghurt.  But not that sugary artificial yoghurt you can buy in multi-packs with dubious claims of no added sugar (why would you add sugar in the first place!), or low fat (in other words added sugar!)… It is easier, tastier and healthier to make your own yoghurt bowls.  All you need is some frozen fruit in the freezer, or some tinned fruit in juice (not syrup), or fresh fruit! Here are my two favourites:

Pineapple n Chia

¼ pot of fresh chopped pineapple (or ¼ pineapple, chopped)

¼ large pot of fresh Greek natural yoghurt (I use Total or Waitrose own)

tbsp. chia seeds

yoghurt-and-pineapple

Method

Simply assemble ingredients in a bowl, I go yoghurt first then pineapple then chia seeds, but any which way you fancy!

Blueberry n Chia

handful of frozen blueberries

¼ large pot of fresh Greek natural yoghurt (I use Total or Waitrose own)

tbsp. chia seeds

Squeeze of Manuka honey

berries-and-yoghurt

Method

This requires some heating of the blueberries with the honey to create a lovely gooey blueberry sauce, which I then pour over the yoghurt followed by the chia seeds

Eat. Enjoy.  Feel good about yourself!
