DIY Felt Flower Buttonholes

No felt flower wedding would be complete without enforcing every member of the bridal party to wear your handicrafts! Buttonholes are super simple to make and I think they look fab!

What you need

First thing to do is work out what you want your buttonholes to look like.  I was fairly set from the start that I wanted my shamrocks/lucky clover in every one and I wanted a felt ball in every one, then I had a selection of buds to choose from and with help from my OH decided on the blue lisianthus bud and red rose buds.

To make

Once you have your layout, the make is super super easy.  Just take the floristry wire and wrap from just under the flower downwards to the length you want, wrap upwards to the top and cut the tape.  Then trim off the wire protruding with wire cutters.

I also hot glued some badge pins to the back, but you could have a traditional buttonhole with a normal sewing pin as well.

Easy peasy.
