Writing Tutorials is Fun…

Honestly it is.  They just take such a long time! To write a tutorial I have to make the item from scratch and photograph every step.  Then each step needs writing up in PowerPoint, that’s how I do it anyway, I think some people use Word and others are far more professional and use proper publishing software like Publisher or InDesign.  I am not that lucky to own either software licenses so stick to PowerPoint to enable a small amount of layout.

Recently my much beloved Mr Fox was voted as the most popular item to be made into a tutorial and I was so excited until I realised I had to spend a day in my studio doing the tutorial itself.

So, when you look on etsy and folksy and blanche at the cost of tutorials, remember it has taken someone an entire day to make that for you!

You can see my new Mr Fox tutorial on Etsy here and if you prefer Folksy it’s here.

Happy making!

Thanks Alison! I only opened about a month ago and only just getting my head around the vast amount of marketing required for it! But I shall be featuring more adventures from my crafting here, once I’ve had an operation on Friday and recovered. xx
