Inspiration with Blue and Green Felt Flowers

The glory of making flowers with felt is that you can have flowers in any colour you want.  As part of the wedding bouquet order I have, the bride wanted blue and green.  The blue she selected was not just any blue either, my favourite colour, teal blue!

I had teal blue flowers in my wedding bouquet and on all the tables as part of the centre piece decorations and they looked so glorious mixed in with pinks, reds and greens.

Making an entire bouquet in blue and an entire bouquet in green was a complete joy! To add depth to each, I used a range of hues, including a navy and a light blue alongside the teal and with the dark central green I added a vibrant lime and chartreuse green.

The flowers I created included blue roses, lisianthus, crysanthenums and peonies in each bouquet.

To keep a theme going throughout the four bouquets (1 bridal and 3 bridesmaids) I included an ombre peony with two full colour peonies and the effect is stunning.

In the blue bouquet I made three anemones and in the green bouquet there are succulents and a green protea.

All the bouquets are now complete and greenery is added to each flower and at the edges of the bouquets.  Finished images will be revealed once the bride has her hands on them as I don’t want to spoil the surprise.

This week I’ll be wrapping the stems and adding ribbons as well as making the buttonholes, then they will all be ready to attend the wedding of the year!
